In order to be considered an active club member, a current UCSC student must attend a minimum of 3 meetings or events per quarter and pay either a $10 member fee per quarter or $25 for the entire year membership. Active members receive a folder with useful handouts regarding optometry schools. We provide assistance to prepare for admission interviews, the OAT, different shadowing opportunities, letters of recommendation, a sample timeline and more. This folder will also include a list of Optometrists in the Santa Cruz area who are willing to let students shadow. Only active members may apply to be officers. This will come into effect for the 2014-2015 academic year.
If you attended a minimum of three meetings or events throughout the 2015 to 2016 academic year then you are qualified to have your name on this list. We will not add iSee Pre-Optometry Club members' names without prior permission. To ask to include your name on this list then email us at ipc.ucsc@gmail.com with the subject "website active member list". Include your name, major and graduation year.
